The General English Course is a specialised English language programme designed for students who want to prepare for a lifetime experience, such as working, studying, or living casually or permanently in any English-speaking setting.
English Class Levels To ensure you are placed at the right English level you are tested on your first day. We offer 6 levels of General English classes:
How Do I Move Up an English Level? You are assessed throughout your English course. The standard of your class work and homework, and your results on end-of-unit tests, determine your class level for the next unit of study. We expect it will take between 8-12 weeks to progress from one level to the next.

At The Skylark institute of English language, our GE program is especially designed to help students to develop and upgrade their four macro-skills in English language; speaking, listening, reading and writing.

2. Achieve social success in everyday lifestyle context.
There are many activities for GE students to be involved in class. These include games, quizzes etc. During supervised Self Access sessions, you will be able to use the computer centres and log on and have access to online Skylark LMS materials that directly reinforce what you have studied during your face-to-face classes. Assessments are weekly and monthly in addition to the exiting assessment and are held to monitor the progress of students and determine further study pathways. Graduation Students will be able to receive a Skylark standardized Certificate of proficiency at the completion of their course and a Statement of attendance.
We provide new students with placement tests to gauge their current English abilities and knowledge in the areas of reading, writing, listening, speaking, vocabulary and grammar. Based on the results in the placement tests, we will be able to place students in an English course most suitable to their current language proficiency.
