IELTS for UKVI' is a UK government approved Secure English Language Test (SELT). This means that IELTS can be used to prove your English language abilities in support of a UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI) application.
This test is for you if you're applying for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 visa to the UK. The purpose of IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training for UKVI is to satisfy certain administrative needs set forth by the UK Home Office.The content, format, examiners, degree of difficulty, scoring, and other aspects of the actual test are all the same as those of the IELTS (for all other reasons).The test day customer journey is where the differences lie. Test Report Forms will alter somewhat to indicate that you completed the exam during an IELTS UK visa session.

IELTS Life Skills A2 is only available in the UK.
